MILD SPOILER ALERT: This contains some information about upcoming episodes of ‘Arrow’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’, so if you want to avoid MILD SPOILERS turn back.

We just learned that Wentworth Miller and his character Leonard Snart/Captain Cold were departing The CW’s Arrowverse of shows this season for good, although we don’t know when or on which series his final appearance will be.  (He originated as a Rogue on ‘The Flash’ before becoming a regular on ‘Legends of Tomorrow’.)  It appears that the creators of these shows may be giving him a big send-off, however, as we now know that Miller will have a big part in the upcoming four-way crossover event ‘Crisis on Earth-X‘.  He will be playing Snart of course, but not the Captain Cold fans know.

During the crossover, the assembled heroes from all for CW shows will face off against villains from the Nazi-ruled Earth-X including Dark Arrow, Dark Flash and Overgirl.  Even with all their might, they will need some “super friends” and among them is Snart… as Citizen Cold.

No further info is given.  In the comics, Snart was a hero named Citizen Cold in the ‘Flashpoint’ storyline.  But ‘Flashpoint’ has already been explored in ‘The Flash’ so this hopefully won’t involve dredging that back up.  It’s more likely that since Ollie, Barry, and Kara are villains on Earth-X, it makes sense that the villains here would be heroes.

What do you think?

“THE EPIC FOUR-WAY CROSSOVER WITH “ARROW,” “SUPERGIRL,” “THE FLASH” AND “DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW” BEGINS — Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) and Iris’s (guest star Candice Patton) wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), The Ray (guest star Russell Tovey), Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards), Iris West and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and White Canary (guest star Caity Lotz) – lead their teams into battle to save the world.

The 4-Part Crossover Event begins Monday, November 27 with Supergirl, “Crisis on Earth X, Part 1” (8:00-9:00pm ET). Arrow, “Crisis on Earth X, Part 2,” will air Monday, November 27 (9:00-10:00pmET). The Flash, “Crisis on Earth X, Part 3,” will air Tuesday, November 28 (8:00-9:00pm ET). DC’S Legends of Tomorrow, “Crisis on Earth X, Part 4,” will air Tuesday, November 28 (9:00-10:00pm ET).

Following the four-part ‘Earth-X’ storyline, all four shows will go on winter hiatus to return in January.
