Following a successful stint in the WWE Universe, Dave Bautista ventured into another galaxy as he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the breakout role of Drax the Destroyer in such films as ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, ’Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’, and the highly-anticipated ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. However, it looks like Star-Lord’s very literal cohort may not be the only superhero that the former World Heavyweight Champion looks to bring to life on the big screen in the near future.

As seen in the tweet above, Bautista took to Twitter earlier this week to discuss an upcoming project titled ‘Eternal Warrior’ when prompted by a fan. Though not officially announced at this point technically, the film is a part of the previously announced Valiant Cinematic Universe along with ‘Bloodshot’ (which recently attached Jared Leto as its star), ‘Harbinger’, ‘Shadowman’, ‘Archer & Armstrong’, and the crossover ‘Harbinger Wars’. The Warrior’s story follows an immortal that has spent the past 10,000 years wandering the Earth and trying with varying degrees of success to protect oracles known as Geomancers that have the ability to speak for the planet itself.

While the post is vague regarding the wrestler-turned-actor’s involvement in the film, one could assume that he’d probably want to star in ‘Eternal Warrior’ in addition to having some kind of producer role since he’s involved in the scripting process. Although, his bulky frame doesn’t exactly lend itself to a faithful live-action representation of Gilad Anni-Padda. He’s more suited to play Armstrong of ‘Archer & Armstrong’ fame, who is actually the Eternal Warrior’s brother. And interestingly enough, there is another former WWE Superstar connected to the hero that is a pretty perfect fit. In the upcoming digital series ‘Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe’, ‘Boone The Bounty Hunter’ and Lucha Underground’s own Johnny Mundo (who may be better known as John Morrison) plays the master of multiple ancient fighting styles alongside ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ star Jason David Frank as Bloodshot, Michael Rowe from ‘Arrow’ as Ninjak, and more.

But based on the recent reports surrounding Leto and ‘Bloodshot’, Valiant appears to be following in DC Entertainment’s footsteps by not having the actors from the small screen reprise their roles for the feature films, so Morrison is unlikely to play the part again. Of course, all this casting talk may be premature considering that the project hasn’t officially been given the green light as far as we know. However, with a rising star such as Bautista working behind the scenes and major companies like Sony Pictures and DMG Entertainment already backing Valiant, there’s probably a good chance that something could work out.

What do you think about Dave Bautista getting involved in ‘Eternal Warrior’ for Valiant Entertainment? Do you think that he’ll end up starring in the film? Or could you see him stepping aside from the titular role and taking a supporting one instead? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
