While the pilot of Amazon’s ‘The Tick‘ came with mix reviews, the network picked it up and when the show returns we’ll see our blue clad hero looking slightly different. With Peter Serafinowicz and Griffin Newman starring as The Tick and Arther, the show has some serious talent in it. Hopefully, they’ll be able to deliver. One of the complaints that came from fans was The Tick’s costume as it didn’t quite feel right compared to the comics. While the initial live-action series with Patrick Warburton in the leading role didn’t quite have the look either, it hit the humor perfectly.
This new costume seems a bit more updated from the pilot and from coloring to style feels a bit closer to the source material. At least, as close as a real life version would be. Let’s take a look:
It does look more like something that could be put together and not the strangely textured look from the pilot. Also, it seems to have a better blue to it that is fitting for our would-be hero.
While I’m still not entirely sold on the mask, I do have to say that overall it looks much better than the last iteration. I actually do prefer this one to what the pilot had given us. Now we’ll have to see if they mess with Arthur’s look at all or explain why The Tick’s costume got a makeover.
