Post-credit scenes have been gaining popularity ever since Marvel did such a great job at setting up their future films with them and now we’ve learned that ‘Kong: Skull Island‘ is going to have an “awesome” one as well! This sort of a scene is rather fitting as we know that the movie is set to lead into ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’. As we’ll be getting a period piece set in the 70’s it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the first noticeable tie-in between the two films will end up being this specific scene outside of a few cross-company references which have already been shown in previews.
The news itself ended coming from the editor-in-chief of the Splash Report on Twitter. He didn’t spoil as to what the scene was, just that we all need to make sure to wait through the credits and check it out!

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that he couldn’t give more details, so anything we have now is currently speculation. However, this line of reasoning would make total sense as to having a flash forward to modern times to ease us into the eventual crossover. Granted, it could also just be a tease of a second King Kong movie and not the crossover, but we’ll be finding that out next month.
