For fans who have read ‘The Walking Dead’ comics and avidly followed the show for years, the introduction of the Negan character to the world of the television show was something they had been waiting on for a long time, especially since the character so drastically changed the character dynamics in the comics, and was sure to do the same in the show. And sure enough, once Jeffrey Dean Morgan came onto the show as Negan, things definitely changed for everyone on ‘The Walking Dead.’

While not everyone has been pleased with the amount of violence and mayhem the man has brought with him, one thing is for certain, the show has certainly kept its fans interested and on their toes, and even in its 7th season there is no shortage of drama or tension. Which should make the news that Negan will be sticking around for at least another season welcome to those who think he has done a good job of shaking things up on the show. Jeffrey Dean Morgan confirmed the presence of his character in Season 8 during a recent appearance on ‘The Howard Stern Show,’ while also mentioning that his character has a lot to do in the next few episodes before the winter break.

I know I will be on board for Season 8. We’ve finished [Season 7] a week ago… The next two, I’m really big in. I’m f—ing heavy in those.”

What do you think the character of Negan, his introduction so far onto ‘The Walking Dead,’ and how Jeffrey Dean Morgan is playing him? How long do you think he will continue to rule over the other characters before they find a way to rebel? And when he does eventually leave the show, will he do it on his own terms or go out in a blaze of glory? Share your thoughts and opinions on the matter in the comments below!
