Sadly ‘Deadpool 2‘ has lost Tim Miller over the weekend as the director and it looks like a rift between the director and star Ryan Reynolds over creative differences is the cause of it. While creative differences are pretty vague, it seems that multiple people who are very familiar with the project are claiming there are a couple major reasons on why this happened.

The first of which is, of course, financial as Miller whose visual effects studio did the first ‘Deadpool’ for free wanted to do a stylized sequel and actually get paid for their work while Reynolds wanted to stick with the raunchy style that worked so well for the first film.

The style of the sequel is one part of the problem but also casting was another. Apparently, Miller wanted Kyle Chandler to play Cable in the upcoming film while Reynolds was completely against the idea. Since Reynolds, who is also a producer on the film, now has a say in the casting, it further caused a rift between these two who had made such a fan favorite first film.

What does this mean for the future of ‘Deadpool 2’? Thankfully a release date had not yet been picked so on top of finding the perfect Cable, it seems a new director is in order who can match the same style and vision that Miller had so successfully pulled off in the first film. Thankfully, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will both be back to pen the sequel.

Are you looking forward to ‘Deadpool 2’? Are you worried that a new director will tank the vision for the next film? Share your thoughts below!
