SPOILERS for ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Ahead!
As we are all too aware by this point, HBO’s version of ‘Game of Thrones‘ has moved far beyond the novels by George R.R. Martin, who is struggling to finish the 6th novel, while the series is currently shooting the 7th season. Therefore, we are all in the dark as to where the story is heading now, although we may still be treated with spoilers by virtue of spotting actors on location, which is the case that happened recently. We had already been promised that Season 7 would be momentous in that it would see the meeting of many characters from the show who had never met before, and already we are seeing evidence of that fact.
According to keen eyed fans from Watchers on the Wall (head over to their website to check out their video of the day here), Sir Davos himself will be meeting up with Tyrion Lannister on what appears to be the shores of Dragonstone at some early point in Season 7, most likely in the early stages of brokering an alliance between King Jon Snow of the North and Queen Daenerys. It is an exciting meet up for many reasons, not just because these two enigmatic characters have never met before, nor because of the possibilities of the this alliances between our favorite heroic characters, but also because of the dramatic tension between Davos and Tyrion, as Tyrion’s defense on the Blackwater with Wildfire is what killed Davos’ children, a fact that Davos might not be willing to easily let go, even for the sake of his diplomatic duties. But then again, Davos also put up with Melissandre for most of season 6 while holding his tongue, so the man is clearly capable of controlling himself until the opportune moment, so I suppose Tyrion just better watch himself.
Other news includes the fact that Joe Dempsie was also spotted on the Dragonstone set, meaning that Gendry after three seasons will finally be returning to ‘Game of Thrones,’ though why he would return to Dragonstone when we last saw him rowing away from that island is beyond me. We will have to wait and find out the answer when the new season returns this spring I suppose. Make sure to check back here for more news and updates as we receive them, and share any theories you might have on the upcoming season in the comments section below!
