Just when you thought it was safe to read comics again, Titan Comics is bringing us ‘Hookjaw’! Written by the ever amazing Si Spurrier (‘Doctor Who’,’Cry Havoc’) with artwork by Conor Boyle with coloring by Giulia Brusco, this five issue mini-series is going to be something to take note of. Oh, did I mention it was being edited by the infamous Steve White who anyone overly familiar with British comics should instantly be excited for.
The series is set to drop in the middle of December when we’re more likely to be afraid of snow than when is in the Ocean but surely with Spurrier’s deft hand we’ll be transported right into the terror. Spurrier is giving us a modern day take on the classic which was actually banned from shelves with how violent it was! Initially released in ‘Action’ #1 it was both an homage to ‘Jaws’ and so much more.
The new take has variant covers from Conor Boyle, John McCrea, Marc Laming, Anna Dittmann, and Steve White which you can see at the very end of this post. Oh, and we also have some of the interior art to give you a preview of what is to come!
First up we have 2 pages of interior art to share with you:
Next up are the other 4 variant covers!
With Spurrier on the words, you already know it will read well and these preview panels by Boyle show that it will look great as well!
Are you looking forward to checking out ‘Hookjaw’ #1 when it is released? Do you love a good shark thriller or do the terrors beneath the waves, not what keep you up at night? Share your thoughts below!
