Production on ‘Alien: Covenant’ has begun! The new flick takes place ten years after the events of ‘Prometheus’ with Michael Fassbender’s artificial humanoid David as the only returning cast member. This is the first of three planned movies that will lead up to the events of the first ‘Alien’ (1979) which Scott also directed.
‘Alien: Covenant’ follows the crew of a new starship (called the Covenant) which arrives on a paradise-like planet where the only inhabitant appears to be David. But as is obvious, that isn’t the truth and the famous xenomorph aliens make their presence known.
The official Twitter account for the movie, posted this new photo of Scott on the set, with Fassbender visible in the background. You can see it below:

As you can see, David is sporting a different look this time out.
Or… considering that David is artificial, this could be a newer model. The real question is, can David survive another encounter with extraterrestrial life?
Guess we’ll have to wait and see how things go. The new movie is due in theaters in just over a year.
Are you ready to journey back to this universe?
‘Alien: Covenant’ directed by Ridley Scott, starring Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Jussie Smollet, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Callie Hernandez, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Benjamin Rigby and Alexander England arrives in theaters August 4, 2017.
