Turtles can’t fly, but that doesn’t keep them from catching some major air in the new trailer for ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows’ trailer. There’s aerial action aplenty as the Turtle go skydiving in their latest cinematic endeavor.
The clip also showcases each Turtle, Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael and “Mikey.” Yeah, just Mikey. Roll with it.
This film, as previously reported, appears to be going back to the show’s animated roots, rather than trying to be another grim ‘n’ gritty remake. The high-flying antics join the big screen introductions of super villains Krang (voiced by SNL’s Fred Armisen), Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams), Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly) and Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry), character that were prominent on the original cartoon (and toy line) but who have been omitted in the live action films so far.
Also present in the new trailer as humans April O’Neil (Megan Fox) and Casey Jones (Stephen Amell).
Check it out below:
Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael return to cinemas this summer to battle bigger, badder villains, alongside April O’Neil, Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), and a newcomer: the hockey-masked vigilante Casey Jones. After super villain Shredder escapes custody, he joins forces with mad scientist Baxter Stockman and two dimwitted henchmen, Bebop and Rocksteady, to unleash a diabolical plan to take over the world. As the Turtles prepare to take on Shredder and his new crew, they find themselves facing an even greater evil with similar intentions: the notorious Krang.
Adding a twist to this new installment is the discovery of a radioactive ooze that may be able to turn the Turtles into humans, so they could, literally, come out of the shadows.
