Now that the latest mission has been completed on ‘Agent Carter’, Director Coulson and his crew return to ABC this week with an all-new episode of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’. With the threat of HYDRA and rogue Inhumans looming, the group needs to beef up their ranks. And that’s where Agent Daisy Johnson’s Secret Warriors come in. But before we get to meet them properly in tomorrow’s episode, ABC has released a sneak peek featuring newcomer Natalia Cordova-Buckley.

There was definitely a time in your life where you wondered what superpowers you’d want to have, but for Agent Lance Hunter, the possibility of getting those powers is very real. That’s why he’s given it a little bit of thought. In this clip from the upcoming episode titled ‘Bouncing Back’, Hunter shares with Bobbi and Mack what abilities he wished for when he took a Terrigen-infested fish oil pill. But remembering that they’re on a mission, the team fans out in search of an “invisible” assailant. Big Mack finds what they’re looking for, but he also finds himself staring down the barrel of his own firearm. You can check out the whole clip below followed by the official synopsis of the mid-season premiere:

In the aftermath of his trip to Maveth, Coulson is more determined than ever to get to Gideon Malick and put an end to Hydra once and for all. Meanwhile, Daisy and the team encounter more Inhumans who have powers like they’ve never seen before, but will they be friends or enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D.?  No longer able to keep powered people out of the public eye, Daisy and Mack press forward to find more Inhumans, building a team of secret warriors whose mission is to train and protect powered people. However, the growing presence of Inhumans proves to be a polarizing issue, and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team must face conflicting public opinions and defend their team from groups who have a more extreme ideology. The divide between those who want to protect Inhumans and those who seek to destroy them is constantly widening, and Hydra, now strengthened by Grant Ward, looms once again. However, Ward is no longer the same villainous traitor that they once knew, and the team faces an all-new enemy, whose motivations, goals and strengths are unclear. Uncertain about who (or what) they are facing, the stakes for S.H.I.E.L.D. and their assembled group of Secret Warriors are higher than ever, bringing some members of the team closer together and driving others apart. Will S.H.I.E.L.D. be able to stop one of the most powerful Inhumans to walk the Earth?

True Believers that are looking for more of this from Hunter and Mockingbird are surely excited for their spinoff ‘Most Wanted’, but what about this mystery Inhuman that they’ve come across during this mission? Well, we already know that Cordova-Buckley will be playing Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez AKA Slingshot, a speedster with the ability to dash away and bounce back to the point where she started running from. We’ll probably get to know her more as the second half of the third season progresses, but until then, share your thoughts and theories about the Secret Warrior in the comments.

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ starring Brett Dalton, Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Nick Blood, Adrianne Palicki, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Luke Mitchell, and Clark Gregg returns on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 9:00pm on ABC.
