SPOILER ALERT: These images may be considered SPOILERS for Season Six of ‘Game Of Thrones’. Proceed with caution. But, NO Jon Snow is not included.
Considering the fact that ‘Game of Thrones’ has in many ways caught up to the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ novels that inspired the show, that means that any revelations on the show are truly new reveals as these events are new even to readers of the source books. Season Five left some character’s fates in the air and this new batch of photos reveals that while some survived, others did not. Jon Snow is not among either grouping.
The new season does not begin for a couple months but for the time being, you can feast your eyes on these preview images:
The fates of Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) were left, literally up in the air as they were last seen leaping off the Winterfell castle wall, but clearly they bounced or something upon landing. (Or more likely landed in water.) They are both still alive, but sadly the same cannot be said for Myrcella Barantheon (Nell Tiger Free), who was poisoned and is shown laid out at what is presumably her funeral.
Other points of interest, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is blind, while her formerly crippled brother Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) is shown standing. Then again, Bran has visions and who’s to say whether or not this image is from one of those. (I’m going with that answer.)
Do these images resolve anything in your mind? Or do they raise more questions? (Like where is Jon Snow?)
Hopefully, your lingering questions will be answered come April 24, 2016 when ‘Game of Thrones’ returns on HBO.
Are you anxious to return to Westeros?
