20th Century Fox definitely wants you to know there’s a new ‘Deadpool’ movie coming out! They’ve been releasing video clips, photos and all sorts of other promotional material as the R-rated superhero movie gets closer to its Valentines Day release.
Now here is a new clip from the movie, featuring Colossus (Stefan Kapicic), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) and Angel Dust (Gina Carano) in action. As we can see, the metallic X-Man is no match for Carano’s Angel Dust, who strikes an Iron Man-like pose at the beginning of the clip, but does Negasonic Teenage Warhead? (Or for that matter, Deadpool himself?)
Elements from it were used in the trailer for the movie, but this is the uncut version. You can watch it below:
My response? As much as I’m looking forward to this movie, damn that Colossus SUCKS!!! As you may or may not know, the CGI/mo-cap role of Colossus was recast after principle filming was competed. André Tricoteux originally played the role, but Stefan Kapicic was brought in for reshoots. All I can say is Tricoteux must have been abominably horrible if this is considered an improvement!
Anyway… here is the film’s synopsis:
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
‘Deadpool’ directed by Tim Miller, starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Gina Carano, and Ed Skrein hits theaters on February 12, 2016.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to this solo movie set within the X-Universe?
