You can usually gauge how widespread a topic is by whether or not ‘Saturday Night Live’ decides to air a skit about it. Well, unless you have been living under a rock, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ has pretty much dominated mainstream media, so what better way to jump on the Force… er… bandwagon with these previously unreleased screen tests that were filmed a long long time ago in a studio far far away. After seeing John Boyega and Daisy Ridley test alongside other famous actors up for some familiar roles, it does make you see the difficulty J.J. Abrams had choosing the people he did to star in this epic film.

Check out the never before seen screen tests below:

Hamm Solo! George Lucas trying to use the Force to get a Coke Zero! And Emma Stone taking a jab at the critics for her casting as a one quarter Chinese one quarter Hawaiian in ‘Aloha’ stating “I know that the Star Wars universe is very diverse and I don’t know if you saw the movie Aloha, but I can play a very convincing part-Asian woman.” This video definitely gives a hilarious view of the Dark Side of casting auditions.

While critics have been declaring ‘SNL’ having more misses than hits, this ‘Star Wars’ skit ranks up there with Schweddy Balls and the earlier ‘Jeopardy’ game show parodies. This was easily ‘SNL’ at its best!
