On The CW hit ‘Arrow’, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) is in grave danger and Oliver a.k.a. the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) has no choice but to call in an old friend: paranormal investigator John Constantine. In the character’s first appearance since the cancellation of his NBC series ‘Constantine’, Matt Ryan dons the famous trenchcoat once more to lend a helping hand in Star City in next week’s episode entitled ‘Haunted’.
MATT RYAN REPRISES HIS ROLE AS JOHN CONSTANTINE ON ARROW — When things take a turn for the worse with Sara (guest star Caity Lotz), Oliver (Stephen Amell) calls in a favor from an old friend who deals in the mystical, John Constantine (guest star Matt Ryan). As we all know, Sara, who used to operate as the vigilante The Canary, will be adopting a new identity, White Canary on the upcoming spinoff ‘Legends of Tomorrow‘ alongside a Who’s Who of DC Comic stars, who will be travelling through time to battle the immortal villain Vandal Savage. Since her presence was revealed, fans have wondered how the formerly deceased character would return and what the story was behind her new identity. Looks like we’ll find out next week!
As for John Constantine, is it possible that the character could return in future episodes of ‘Arrow’? Perhaps if reaction to ‘Haunted’ is overwhelmingly positive. I’m not sure what sort of arrangements had to be made in order to secure this guest appearance, but since NBC isn’t likely to bring ‘Constantine’ back in any form, maybe more visits will be possible.
