It is interesting to note that while the heroes and side characters on ‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash’ have journeyed back and forth across the network, we have yet to see one of the villains do the same. Would not it have been interesting to see the Reverse Flash take on Team Arrow at some point, maybe so Barry would not have so much assistance down the line; or to see Ras al Ghul attempt to take out the Star Labs facilities to make sure Oliver had no choice but to turn to the Lazarus Pit to save his sister last season? Either way, it seems the creative forces behind the CW DC Shows have had similar thoughts, and with all the time-travel and alternate dimensions going on across ‘The Flash’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow,’ they might have found a way to do it that does not detract from the villain’s story on ‘Arrow.’ It seems that ‘Arrow’ Season 4 big bad Damien Darhk will make an appearance in ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ and ‘The Flash,’ which we learned from the Darhk actor Neal McDonough himself in a recent interview:
“You go back to the League — I did an episode of Legendslast week — and I look exactly the same in 1975 but you see he’s not as confident and doesn’t have such an agenda forty years ago as he does now…So it’s fun to play the different times, you know? Going back in time with Legends, and The Flash with The Flash, I’m just this crazy, fun, enjoy everything while I kill everybody type of character. It’s just nuts.”
My guess, which is backed up from other sites and sources, is that Darhk will be teamed up with Vandal Savage at some point in the past, which is where he will factor into ‘Legends of Tomorrow,’ and on the ‘Flash,’ we will see an alternate Damien Darhk, that Barry and his team will have to deal with, potentially with some help from Team Arrow who are already facing the threat of Darhk. Either way, it sounds like a lot of fun, and I look forward to seeing how the story of Darhk will be woven across all of the shows on the network!
