At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, we learned that DC Comics’ Emerald Archer would finally be living up to the nickname when ‘Arrow’ returns for a fourth season this fall on The CW. Series star Stephen Amell emerged on stage in Hall H with a new costume for the Green Arrow. Not the Vigilante. Not the Arrow. This time, it’s the Green Arrow. And for the first time, we can now hear a character refer to the hero as such.

About a week after a brand new trailer was released for the upcoming season, there’s a new promo for ‘Arrow’ that finds Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak living the dream somewhere very far from Starling City. But as one could assume, that doesn’t last very long as Team Arrow gets in over their heads back home as a new foe emerges in the form of Neil McDonough’s Damian Darhk. And in the video below, it’s the big bad that refers to Queen’s alter ego as the Green Arrow for the first time. Check out the video titled ‘Embrace Your Dark Side’ followed by the official synopsis of the fourth season:

After defeating his most formidable foe to date and riding off into the sunset with longtime flame Felicity Smoak, Oliver Queen (a.k.a. The Arrow) left Starling City with the hopes of beginning a new life. But will Oliver ever truly be able to leave behind his past as the Arrow, and, if so, what becomes of the team he has worked so hard to assemble? Will Diggle, Thea, and Laurel be left to continue Oliver’s crusade without him? And with Malcolm Merlyn having ascended to the top of the League of Assassins as the new Ra’s al Ghul, is anyone really safe?

While we’re all freaking out about someone finally calling him the Green Arrow, did anyone else notice that this version of Darhk might have some superpowers? It’s possible that the villain may have created some arrow-stopping device with his genius level intellect, but we’ll have to wait until October 7th to know for sure. Until then, let us know what you think about the latest promo for ‘Arrow’ in the comment section.
