On a show like ‘The Walking Dead,’ it isn’t easy to bring back characters after they leave the show. Though we’ve seen it with Lennie James’ character Morgan Jones from Season One, it’s a little bit harder to revisit the likes of Beth, Lizzie, Andrea, or Hershel because *SPOILER ALERT* they’re all dead. However, new rumors are saying that two very popular cast members may be brought back somehow.
According to The Spoiling Dead Fans, Michael Rooker and Tyler James Williams may be returning to the hit AMC zombie series during season six despite being deceased in the show. The actors who respectively played Merle Dixon and Noah (before being killed off) have been spotted on the Georgia set among other stars such as Andrew Lincoln, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, and others. However, it was not confirmed whether or not they were there to actually take part in filming.
This wouldn’t be the first time that dead characters have resurfaced on ‘The Walking Dead’. Sarah Wayne Callies came back to the show to portray Lori Grimes for a hallucination/dream sequence. Jon Bernthal reprised his role as Shane Walsh in a similar fashion during season three, so if Rooker and Williams were to return, it could be possible in theory as there is a precedent.
Would you like to see Merle and Noah return to ‘The Walking Dead’? How do you think that they could be reworked back into the show? And is it possible that the actors were just visiting their old friends on the set? Share your thoughts and theories in the comments below.
