In the latest behind-the-scenes image, Paul Feig has unveiled the new ‘Ghostbusters‘ uniforms to the world! Early shots of Kristen Wigg, Melissa McCarthy, and Kate McKinnon on set showed them in street clothes leaving speculation as to what they may look like when actually fighting ghosts.

Now we know!

The new ‘Ghostbusters’ team has yet to be seen on set in uniform but they are ready to be put on which you can see below:

Clearly an updated throwback to the original uniforms. I’m curious to see if these will be the same styled uniforms that the all-male Ghostbusters team will end up using as well or if they will have an entirely different look.

What is great to see is that the new Proton Packs are also using the look from the original films for inspiration as you can see here:

Don’t cross the streams ladies!

So far we’ve received some broad strokes about how the team will be coming together but no official synopsis to share quite yet. We do know that the film will be an origin story of the foursome and their ghost fighting technology. Also we’ve seen recent mention that fan-favorite Slimer will somehow be reintroduced as well!

The overall details, however, are as follows:

Wiig and McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Wiig lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U., which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia.

Wiig reunites with McCarthy and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
