Recently we found out that Jared Leto (‘‘Dallas Buyers Club’,’Mr. Nobody’) is so immersed in his role as The Joker for ‘Sucide Squad‘ that he sent a live rat to Margot Robbie as a gift. While one might wonder if that means she rats him out in the film, you can’t help but question what actually happened to the rat. We’re not quite sure how Robbie feels about the animal, but it looks like Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, and Joel Kinnaman have all taken a liking to their new furry friend.

My favorite part though is that they ended up naming the rat after one many of you will be familiar with – Splinter. That’s right, they named it after the father and trainer of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. What a perfectly geeky thing to do while working on a comic book movie!

I would have to say that Jai was not exaggerating when he said, “I haven’t seen [Leto], since we started working, out-of-character.” I really feel that this is a hint as to why The Joker and Quinn aren’t going to be on great terms in the movie when it is released.

Are you looking forward to ‘Suicide Squad’? Do you think this is a hint that we might just be in for a good take on The Joker? Share your thoughts below!

‘Suicide Squad’ will be released on August 5th, 2016 and stars: Cara Delevingne, Jai Courtney, Jared Leto, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, and Will Smith.
