At long last, after all of the rumors, it’s finally been confirmed: ‘Fallout 4’ is under development and on its way.

Bethesda Softworks, who created the much beloved ‘Fallout 3’, will once again develop and publish the game’s follow-up ‘Fallout 4’.

The announcement was made with the release of their official trailer, which you can watch right here:

The trailer depicts, as to be expected, a desolate nuclear-fallout world, but overlays it with the world as it was before its destruction. This hints that ‘Fallout 4’ may be as much about the world as it was as what it became. We’ll have to wait until Bethesda reveals more information before we can know more, but the game almost certainly takes place in Boston, Massachusetts.

Much of the trailer also focuses on the protagonist’s dog, alluding to a game built upon the pair’s companionship. So much of the trailer focuses on the dog that some fans speculate the protagonist might be the dog, which would make ‘Fallout 4’ a very interesting game. This is probably not the case though.

The game will be available for the Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC. There is no release date at this time, but pre-orders are already available.

Bethesda will have a E3 Showcase on Sunday, June 14th at 7:00pm PT where they will be giving the game its “world premiere”, so if you’re interested then be sure to tune in.
