If you’ve been dying to know more about what we can expect from ‘X-Men: Apocalypse‘ we have a couple of set photos as well as some amazing concept art to share with you today. Now, to be warned the set photos for Bryan Singer‘s next mutant filled thrill ride are a little light on action and quality so don’t expect to see our team going up against Apocalypse here. What you can see is the first shot of Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Lana Condor as Jubilee, and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawlwer. Well, we did see a much better shot of Nightcrawler just the other day, that is.

According to Simon Kinberg, the teen mutants will be very different than the ones we have already been introduced to in the X-Men universe:

“Scott is not yet the squeaky-clean leader. Storm is a troubled character who is going down the wrong path in life. And Jean is complex, interesting and not fully mature. It’s fun to see someone struggling with their powers when you know one day they’ll become the most powerful person in the world.”

At the very least, the images below give an 80s X-Men vibe from what little you can see of them. Hopefully that it continues to translate properly when it hits the big screen:

Of course what scene in a mall from the 80s wouldn’t be complete without an arcade being used as well? I do wonder if they might somehow use this to reference the villain Arcade in the movie? It could be an interesting little add in though I’m pretty sure that is just my fandom wishful thinking kicking in.

Maybe one of the games will end up being called ‘Murder World’?

Of course, what piece of X-Men filming would be complete without director Bryan Singer himself sharing a shot?

First day of shooting #XMEN #XMenApocalypse at the mall. Around #1983

So, nothing to spoiler filled here aside from the briefest ideas of what our heroes might be wearing when they are out in public. What is slightly more spoiler filled though is some concept art from ‘X-Men: Apocalypse.’ In it you’ll see a bit of Xavier, the Black Bird, Egypt, and so much more!

Let’s take a look:

So I’m digging that we’ll be seeing a bit of Egypt for Apocalypse and also am getting high hopes of seeing our X-Men in their 80’s to 90’s uniforms. As always when Singer is involved this looks to be another X-Men movie that is absolutely worth watching!

What do you think of the concept art and sneaky cam look at the original X-Men in uniform? Share your thoughts below True Believers!

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Oscar Isaac opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
