If you’ve been eager to check out the second season of ‘Penny Dreadful‘ than you’ll be happy to hear that Showtime is now streaming the first episode online for free! The series won’t be starting up again until Sunday May 3rd at 10pm but the studio has released the first episode on YouTube to catch your attention a little bit earlier. With only ten episodes per season that getting through this means you’ll already be 1/10th through the season before it officially starts!
Not only is it available on YouTube (which you can check out below), but if you have a Showtime Anytime setup it is also streamable through your desktop, iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Kindle Fire, Roku, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Apple TV streaming players!
Talk about a great way to get the fans behind the series. At least, those of us who have already been watching it. I’m not sure how much of a draw a single episode from the second season with everything that has happened so far will get new viewers into the show. I know if I was going to jump into any ongoing series these days I would want to start fresh from the beginning. Still, I’m a little stoked to be able to start watching now if it only wasn’t for the wait until the second episode.
