The squad is assembling! And no I’m not talking about the Avengers (though that is coming up in a few weeks). Director David Ayers recently posted a picture of most of his cast for ‘Suicide Squad’ during a table read of the film (below), including some unexpected faces, and missing one particular face that everyone is dying to see.

First up, the inclusion of Jim Parrack (‘True Blood.’ ‘Fury’) and the rumors swirling around now are that Joe Manganiello will not be playing Slade Wilson/ Deathstroke, but instead Parrack will be taking his place. While most say that the studio decided to go younger with the character, most likely the change was due to Manganiello’s schedule as he is currently shooting a new Pee-wee Herman series for Netflix, and the ‘Suicide Squad’ is starting filming next month in order to meet it’s August 2016 release date.

Also of note are the inclusion of Ike Barinholtz and Adam Beach, who are now rumored to be playing Batman villain Hugo Strange and comic-book Suicide Squad villain/member Ravan. Hugo Strange is credited as one of the few villains who actually deduced Batman’s identity, making him exceptionally dangerous, while Ravan was an enemy terrorist who later joined the Squad, and is known as an expert martial artist and follower of the Indian god Kali. No one had any idea those two characters would be included in the film until this photo was released, and its interesting to see just how many characters will find their way into this movie now. The photo also includes the main cast we already know about, including Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, but oddly enough is missing the new Joker, Jared Leto, though most suspect that the man’s actual transformation into the Clown Prince of Crime (including his new green hair) is already underway, and Ayers and Warner Bros do not want to give away his new look just yet.

What do you think of the additions to the cast? Are they jamming too many characters into one film? Let us know in the comments below!
