A big rumor has just dropped that DC’s Cinematic Universe might be including Jason Todd in all of his glory in the upcoming films.
Rumors are swirling that his death was at the hands of The Joker and that’s why the clown prince of crime and Harley Quinn aren’t getting along in ‘Suicide Squad‘ but now there is even more to go on! If anything, I would believe Todd’s death would initially be teased directly from Harley and The Joker in the upcoming film. It could make for an interesting twist on an extremely twisted relationship.
Let’s take a look at this Instagram shot from Latino Review‘s Umberto Gonzalez to really flesh out the rumor in full!
If this rumor proves true, not only does it validate the earlier one concerning The Joker but it will give us a look at Robin’s iconic uniform hanging in the Batcave! Not only that, but we’ll see Jason Todd possibly return to life! With a darker DC Cinematic Universe clearly in the works, there has been no word as to if bringing Todd back from the grave is something that would have been considered. Will this new Red Hood actually be a returned Todd or someone else in the role?
Of course we don’t just have news on Robin today as it sounds like Chad Stahelski and David Leitch are being spoken to by DC and Warner Brothers to direct one of their films. These two are some of the better fight choreographers out there and have recently turned to directing with such films as ‘John Wick.’ They have the perfect chops to take on a superhero movie, especially a street level themed one. I think something like ‘Batman’ would be a perfect fit for them although there is no word on which movie DC wants them for.
