Many True Believers are still reeling from the intense winter finale of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ that saw Skye’s true identity finally revealed. Not only is she Daisy Johnson AKA Quake, but she is also an Inhuman, and all that is certainly a lot for her to deal with at once. While we won’t get to see the fallout from Skye’s Terrigenesis until March since the show has stepped aside for ‘Agent Carter’ to give the audience their Marvel fix for the next seven weeks, the showrunners have a few hints about what we can expect when Director Phil Coulson and his crew return to action.

In a recent feature on TV Line, ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ executive producers Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon dropped a few hints about their corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. First concerning Daisy and her new powers, even though the audience may know what this means for her, she “doesn’t necessarily know what’s happening” just yet. Things are considerably more complicated as well since “all of it will be tied to a very sad event in losing a dear, dear friend” in B.J. Britt’s Agent Antoine Triplett. As for Raina, who underwent a similar transformation after being exposed to the mysterious mist from the Obelisk, the EPs say that we won’t be waiting long once the ball gets rolling again to see how she was affected. We’ll also learn the name and agenda of the presumably Inhuman character that possesses another Obelisk who is referred to here as the Man With No Eyes. Without a doubt all three characters will cross paths when the season returns, but what that means is still to be determined.

Finally, the showrunners also share a bit of news about Ming-Na Wen’s Agent Melinda May, who will become less of a mystery thanks to some details from her past surfacing. Recently, Blair Underwood was cast as Agent May’s ex-husband Dr. Andrew Garner. Although that could be a pretty big piece of the puzzle, another huge one that we’ve been hearing about since the start will be brought into play when, according to Tancharoen, “the long-awaited Cavalry story will be revealed.”
