Both installments of the last ‘Hunger Games’ series are in the can, but the cast is just out promoting the third movie in the franchise, ‘Mockingjay – Part 1’ which comes out next week.  Since the first movie arrived, the actors that starred in it have risen in popularity and acclaim, most notably front woman Jennifer Lawrence who portrayed the central character Katniss Everdeen.  Lawrence has since won an Academy Award for her role as Tiffany in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’.

The camaraderie between the principle cast is evident as they have had several years worth of bonding on the four film adaptations of the popular YA book series by Suzanne Collins.

As the third film inches closer to theaters, the studio is cranking out promotional material.  First up, we have a short “propaganda” style clip which promotes a new Mazda car, until Beetee (Geoffrey Rush) pops up with a message for Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) who was taken captive by the Capitol at the end of the last movie, ‘Catching Fire.’

It’s pretty brief and a bit questionable, but the concept of propaganda certainly plays a major role in the ‘Hunger Games’ series.

But if you’re a real super fan and want to get to know the real actors behind the iconic roles of Katniss, Peeta and Gale– or as I call them, J-Law, J-Hutch and Li-Hems… well, not to their faces– check out their appearance on ‘Good Morning America’, where they discussed the ending of this seminal franchise as well as some of the CGI trickery employed to enhance the film.  It’s a somewhat long segment, but if you’re a true fan, it’s worth it to peek behind the curtain and see the cast in a more casual setting.
