Since Marvel Comics unveiled their massive year-long event ‘Secret Wars’ at this year’s New York Comic Con, they’ve been releasing a series of mysterious images that tease the return of past events. So far we’ve seen ‘Civil War’, ‘Age of Ultron vs. Marvel Zombies’, and ‘Years of Future Past’, but now we have two more that hint at the Marvel Universe will be in an all-out war.

The first new teaser sounds like it’s connected to Greg Pak’s 2006 Jade Giant storyline, ‘Planet Hulk.’ Although this time, the title is taken a little more literally as we see Steve Rogers as Captain America fighting off an actual planet of Hulks, including the Maestro, a few She-Hulks, Red Hulk, and even a dinosaur. You can see the artwork from Mukesh Singh below:

Then, the week has been rounded out by a trip back to the mid-80s as artist Steve Pugh gives us a look at the return of David Michelinie and Bob Layton‘s ‘Armor Wars’ in Summer 2015. Featuring Tony Stark’s Hall of Armors running amok, we can identify the Hulkbuster armor, the Galactus-buster armor, the West Coast Avengers armor, and more giving their creator quite a bit of grief:

As we mentioned before, all of this is probably linked to Jonathan Hickman’s upcoming conclusion to ‘Time Runs Out’, the current arc in his ‘Avengers’ and ‘New Avengers’ titles. Not only do the dates sync up, but also it all jives with Alex Ross’ initial artwork for ‘Secret Wars’ that includes various iterations of our favorite heroes from multiple dimensions.

Do you have any theories about what Marvel Comics has up their sleeves with all these teasers? Which past events are you most excited to see return? And do you think that they’re planning any more teasers for summer 2015? Share your thoughts and theories in the comments below.
