It is a little surprising, but we’re still hearing about new guest stars popping up on ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show‘. With an already larger than life cast, we are now also seeing Matt Bomer (‘White Collar’,’Superman: Unbound‘) join the show’s cast.

For how long he’ll actually be showing up on screen though, or what his part will be, is another mystery altogether. I suppose we’ll find out shortly after the show’s recently announced premiere date of October 8th, 2014. Being listed as a guest star on the show it’s hard to say how major or minor of a role we’ll see him in but he is confirmed for one episode.

In an interview with EW, showrunner and executive producer Ryan Murphy stated, “I try to get him to do everything for me. I sent him a text that said, ‘First right of refusal, here’s the role.’ It’s very…warped.”

Speaking of warped, I suppose I should warn you not to get your hopes up from this teaser that we have to share with you today. While I’m absolutely sure it’ll make sense as we learn more about the show it is 13 seconds of just not enough information. You can check it out for yourself!

We also have an official synopsis of what to expect from this season, though most of those details have already been emerging through the casting announcements. If you’ve been waiting for an overall idea of what the series plans to be about, tyou’ll be able to read that after the teaser.

American Horror Story: Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.

So it was a forked tongue! While that could be considered something from a Freak Show from the 1950s. Honestly, I’m looking forward to an actual trailer at this point as I don’t feel that the teasers are doing the next installment all that much justice quite yet.
