Honestly the production value of ‘Gotham‘ has shown through in each trailer released to date and this new one is no different! What sets today’s trailer apart from the others is that our focus here is on the villains that we know will be introduced in the first season of the show!

While many other villains and future villains have been teased to be showing up at some point in this series, we know the three that we really get a good look at here will be in the first season. This trailer puts a spotlight on Robin Lord Taylor (‘Another Earth’, ‘Would You Rather’) as the Penguin, Jada Pinkett Smith (‘Scream 2′,’The Matrix Revolutions’) as Fish Mooney, and Camren Bicondova (‘Battlefield America’, ‘Firehouse’) as a very young Catwoman. Honestly I keep feeling I should say Catgirl with the age they appear to have her at in all of the promotional material.

According to early news and reviews from the pilot, the take on the Penguin has been the stand out performance. While Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot isn’t usually one of my favorite villains, this new televised form of him looks as if it could prove to be a good watch as we see him rise to power in the criminal underworld.

For those of you who plan on checking the show out which of these three villains are you most looking forward to seeing introduced on the small screen? Past that, which of Batman’s villains would you like to see introduced or hinted at in future seasons? (Keeping in mind that in most cases The Joker usually pops up after Batman.) Synopsis:

Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker. GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics super villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist,” “Rome”), GOTHAM follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.

‘Gotham’ will air Monday nights at 8 p.m. on the FOX network.
