It looks as if Wes Bentley (‘The Hunger Games‘, ‘Interstellar’) is making an entrance to FX’s hit series ‘American Horror Story‘. Honestly, I really love how the casting for ‘American Horror Story’ seems to pick random actors and cast them in a role that is both surprising and fitting at the same time. They have an eye for talent and I can’t wait to see what they are going to be doing with Bentley on the small screen.
We don’t know much about his part in the fourth season, but we do know that he is set to play a major character named Eddie and he will be “a dark tormentor from Kathy Bates’ past who is hell-bent on revenge.” Sounds like fun! I wonder if he’ll have any interaction with Michael Chiklis who is also a newcomer to the show this season and will be playing Kathy Bates ex-husband on the show as well as father to their child, played by Evan Peters.
The fourth season of the series is set in Florida during the 1950’s and focuses around one of the last freak shows in the United States that is run by Jessica Lange who is a German expatriate. With Chiklis as the Strong Man, currently married to Angela Bassett’s character and both also having to work with his ex-wife Bates there is already going to be drama afoot. It’ll be fun to see Bates and Bassett going at it again after how well they were set against each other on the third season. Playing two roles will be Sarah Paulson who has been cast as a pair of conjoined twins, Bette and Dot. It is also set to have the most terrifying clown of all time in the show. As always there is a lot going on and I have full faith that the writing team can pull it off!
The season premiere in October cannot come soon enough!
