Today is a good day visually for fans of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ as we not only got a slew of new character posters but a teaser image of Michael Rooker as Yondu as well! Marvel has been all about the teaser images lately showing off characters like Ronan the Accuser.
For those of you wondering who Yondu is we’ll get to that in a moment. First I want to take a look at some of the new poster art that we have to enjoy. Right off the bat I’m going to share the latest image of Rocket because who doesn’t love a little gun toting raccoon am I right?
Next up, Groot is looking pretty awesome in the second poster to share with you.
Finally we have an image of Gamora who almost never is wearing the sneer that I picture on her face.
Now the real fun part today is that we get a teaser image of Michael Rooker as Yondu as I mentioned earlier. First off you may be wondering who exactly Yondu is and why he matters? Well this iteration of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ team is by no means the first one out there. In fact, Yondu is the founder of the original ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ in the future who is trying to save his planet.
It’ll be interesting if this Yondu is from the future or has any significance past a cameo for all of us Marvel geeks! I’m wondering if he’ll have a more active role than whoever Nathan Fillion ends up playing.
