Now first I of course have to stress that these latest reports on ‘Star Wars: Episode VII‘ are fully rumors at this time. The only thing we know about the film for sure is that the original cast will be joined by new characters for a story that takes place thirty years after the events in ‘Return of the Jedi’. Everything past that is still up in the air so I would say you should take this with a grain of salt. At the same time the new information detailed below about the villains of the movie could be completely ruining parts of the plot for you. Possible spoilers ahead there be, mmm yes. OK, last time I’ll do a stab at talking like Yoda. I promise. (For this post at least.)

The information of these spoilers comes from Making Star Wars and has the following declaimer before it:

This is simply what we are hearing from people that have proven to us that are from Pinewood. I don’t want anyone to get their hopes up or down for that matter. But let it be known, this is what we are heard in the last two weeks and it could be accurate or inaccurate.

However, TheForce.net has stated that the information you are about to read is 100% false so you can be the judge.

So lets dive in! First off, is a minor spoiler with overall information about the villains. They apparently are being referred to as “Jedi Hunters” and their mission is to wipe out the Jedi. Interestingly enough, these hunters who wear all black also use the Jedi’s weapon of choice and are proficient light saber wielders. While not necessarily Sith or users of the Force, they share the same hatred of the Jedi. Their standard foot soldiers are rumored to look like black and chrome versions of Storm Troopers. Black and chrome, how ominous! Hopefully they’ll be able to hit the broad side of a barn at least. While this sounds like The Inquisitor from ‘Star Wars Rebels,’ it is too early to tell if they’ll be somehow related to his character. I do say it seems as if they will and they may be played by Lupita Nyong’o and Adam Driver.

Now, onto the big spoilers. Apparently the Jedi Hunters have been around for a long time and were either tasked or created for the sole purpose of protecting the Sith. With the Sith destroyed, they have been working on disrupting the Jedi’s goals. As the group worships the Sith themselves, which part of the rumor will have this shown on screen, it seems as if their goal is to resurrect them. In fact, this resurrection is said to succeed in ‘Episode VIII’ which will lead to the final conflict in ‘Episode IX.’ So, yes, if this is true you just found out the major plot points of films 8 and 9.

As always, this is far too early to know if any of this is true or not. If it is, are you excited to hear the direction of the series? Do you think its too much too soon? Do you think they are working to resurrect a Sith we aren’t familiar with or perhaps a certain Emperor? Share your thoughts below!
