Power laces! All right!
Nike shoe designer, Tinker Hatfield, has announced that the sneaker company will create Nike Air Mags with power shoelaces like the ones Marty McFly wore in “Back to the Future II”.
As you probably know, when Doc and Marty McFly visit 2015 in “Back to the Future II”, Marty dons some pretty sweet Nike Air Mags, complete with power laces.
Back in 2011, Nike recreated these shoes (sans the power laces) and auctioned 1,500 pairs of the Nike Mag on eBay. All of the proceeds went to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research.
However, now we’ll be able to see versions of the Air Mags with power laces!
Tinker Hatfield had some exciting news during his appearance at the Jordan Brand Flight Lab space in New Orleans on February 14, 2014.
“Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say YES!” Hatfield announced.
Hatfield confirmed that by 2015, we will see Nike Air Mags with some power lace technology. Little information has been given as to how these laces would even work, but the idea of it seems pretty cool.
Actual power laces?! All right, indeed!
