Well it seems that Robert Rodriguez (‘Machete Kills’,’Sin City: A Dame to Kill For‘) has finalized his cast for ‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’ by having the star of the unaired NBC ‘Wonder Woman’ pilot, Adrianne Palicki (‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation‘,’Legion’) being tapped as the final member in its line up. Palicki joins Jake Busey (‘Starship Troopers’,’The Frighteners’) and Lane Garrison (‘Bonnie and Clyde’,’Prison Break’) who also recently signed up for the series.

The series will actually be doing a decent job at following the film and will focus on following D.J. Cotrona’s (‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’,’Venom’) Seth and Zane Holtz’s (‘Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief’,’The Perks of Being a Wallflower’) Richie Gecko, who have just committed a bank robbery. To get across the borders, they have taken a few hostages. They include Robert Patrick (‘True Blood‘,’Terminator 2: Judgement Day‘) as a minister and his two children that are played by Madison Davenport (‘The Possession’,’Ponyo’) as well as Brandon Soo Hoo (‘Ender’s Game‘,’G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra’).

Not only will the series return the Gecko brothers to the infamous club from the first film but there are a few other apparent references to past films that Rodriguez and long time acquaintances Tarantino and Avary have worked on in the past. Where you may ask? Well lets take a look at four locations Rodriquez tweeted about recently!

Synopsis:

Created in association with FactoryMade Ventures and created and executive produced by network founder and filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, the 10-episode supernatural crime saga (based on the cult classic film of the same name) features Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, “The X-Files”) as Jacob Fuller, Madison Davenport (Save Me, “Shameless”) as Kate Fuller, Brandon Soo Hoo (Tropic Thunder, Ender’s Game) as Scott Fuller, and Eiza González (“Lola: Érase Una Vez”) as Santánico Pandemonium.

D.J. Cotrona (Dear John, G.I. Joe: Retaliation), plays Seth Gecko with Zane Holtz (Holes, The Perks of Being a Wallflower) as Richie Gecko; Jesse Garcia (Quinceañera, “Sons of Anarchy”) plays Texas Ranger Freddie Gonzalez, a new character created for the series; and Don Johnson (Django Unchained, “Nash Bridges”) is in the recurring role of Sheriff Earl McGraw.

Based on the thrill-ride film, “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” is centered around bank robber Seth Gecko (Cotrona) and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richard “Richie” Gecko (Holtz), who are wanted by the FBI and Texas Rangers Earl McGraw (Johnson) and Freddie Gonzalez (Garcia) after a bank heist left several people dead. While on the run to Mexico, Seth and Richie encounter former minister Jacob Fuller (Patrick) and his family, whom they take hostage. Using the family RV to cross the border, chaos ensues when the group detours to a strip club that is populated by vampires. They are forced to fight until dawn in order to get out alive. The series deepens the tone of the film, adds new characters and backstories, and expands the Mesoamerican mythology behind the creatures inside the club.

So what do you say folks, does the latest casting and behind the scenes photos have you excited? Are you looking forward to the return of ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ where we get some real vampires once more or are you on the fence on this one? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
