‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ may have stumbled at the box office, but it will be getting a sequel nevertheless.  Movie studios are still trying to find their version of ‘Twilight’ which garnered a cult following and generated millions in merchandise sales.

With that in mind, the Weinstein Company will be bringing ‘Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters’, based on the vampire-based young adult novel series, to theaters in the US on February 14th.  Will you be having a bloody, bloody Valentines Day?

February is closer than it probably seems right now, so the promotion for the film is starting to increase.  The latest trailer has been released.  Check it out below!

The six ‘Vampire Academy’ novels are written by Richelle Mead.  The first movie stars Zoey Deutch as Rose Hathaway, a half-human/half-vampire hybrid called a Dhampir, who vows to protect her best friend, Lissa Dragomire , played by Lucy Fry, who is a Moroi, a peace-loving vampire.  The Moroi are the targets of the evil Strigoi.  In the first movie, the two best friends are taken back to their private boarding school, after having been on the run for a year.

The movie also stars Danila Kozlovsky, Gabriel Byrne, Sarah Hyland, Joely Richardson, Cameron Monaghan, Sami Gayle, Claire Foy and Ashley Charles.

Will ‘Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters’ outperform ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’?  Or has this whole pretty teen vampire thing played out?  Will you be spending your Valentines Day watching bloodsuckers?  Or will you be going to see this movie?  (Ba-dum-bum!)
