Fans have spoken, and they want a solo movie for Loki as played by Tom Hiddleston. But what character does Hiddleston want to star in the film with him? Well, who can blame him, but none other than Marvel’s beguiling Enchantress!
“When I was first reading the comics, [Loki’s] relationship with the Enchantress was one of the really fun things I thought would be good to explore,” he said while promoting ‘Thor: The Dark World,’ “[I] may have even pitched it to [Marvel Studios head] Kevin Feige at some point.”
Hiddleston’s Loki is a certified scene-stealer and fan favorite, despite his villainous nature. But why does he want to see his character matched against the Asgardian sorceress? “Because she was as sneaky and as untrustworthy as he was. They basically had a really fantastic and twisted relationship until they both say, ‘You know what? I don’t trust you as far as I can throw you. It’s over.’ Because they keep betraying each other, in a way. So it could be good.”
Hiddleston’s performances have been… shall we say fey? However, Hiddleston is quick to point out that in the classic mythology that the Thor movies are based upon, Loki did “get it on” with ladies at least a couple of times. “I mean, Sleipnir is one of his children. Did you know that? Odin’s eight-legged horse in the mythology is one of Loki’s children. As is Fenrir the wolf.” Yikes! Good luck to whoever had to birth those babies!
Obviously, The Enchantress isn’t in ‘Thor: The Dark World’ and Loki isn’t even in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.‘ Will there be a ‘Thor 3’? Or will fans get their wish and simply get a Loki movie?
