On Friday, you saw part one of the panel discussion that we participated in to promote the release of ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ with stars Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower and series author Cassandra Clare. While we got quite a lot of that part of the discussion, there was even more to come in part two.
In the second part of the rather insightful conversation, the panel talks about the fans’ initial reaction to Bower being cast as Jace Wayland, the mythology of the book series as a whole, and what draws them to the young adult supernatural fantasy genre. On that last topic, we get some very interesting insight from the actor, who has taken part in the biggest franchises to emerge from that genre, ‘Twilight’ and ‘Harry Potter’. You can see what they had to say about all that and more in the video below:
The whole experience with this press tour in Philly was a delight, despite the hundreds of screaming girls in the mall. I imagine what I experienced was akin to what the parents of Beatles fans experienced during the pinnacle of Beatlemania. Of course, toned down a little since there were only a couple hundred people there as opposed to a couple thousand, but either way it was loud in there!
Anyway, in case you haven’t had a chance to check out ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ yet, be sure to check out our review of the film, which actually turned out to be a lot better than originally anticipated. And then go back and check out part one of our exclusive interview as well.
‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ starring Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Robert Sheehan, Jemima West, Kevin Zegers, Lena Headey, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers is currently in theaters right now.
