Though it may seem like he is, Bryan Singer actually isn’t bringing every member of the X-Men film franchise back for his return to the world with ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’. Previously, a number of cast members including January Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Jason Flemyng, and Caleb Landry Jones all said that they would not be returning in the sequel to ‘X-Men: First Class’. Now, it seems that we have confirmation of another Xavier ally that won’t be popping up either.
According to an interview with MTV about her upcoming film ‘The Internship’, Australian actress Rose Byrne revealed that her character Moira MacTaggert would not be a part of next year’s massive mutant time traveling tale. Check out the brief clip below where the actress expresses her excitement for the film despite not being involved:
About a month ago, Singer tweeted a picture of some CIA documents, so one could have come to the conclusion that MacTaggert could have been involved, however, if you recall the ending of the last movie, her mind was wiped by Charles Xavier, so it does make sense that we won’t be seeing her again. At least, we won’t be seeing her in this movie anyway.
Are you disappointed that Rose Byrne won’t be making a comeback as Moira MacTaggert alongside James McAvoy’s Professor X? Or are there more than enough characters to keep your attention in the cast already? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
