Watch The First Teaser For Season 6 Of 'True Blood'

On the heels of the announcement of the debut date for ‘True Blood,’ HBO has now released its first teaser for the series.

The video aired before last night’s premiere of ‘Game of Thrones’ and proves that while the season has been shortened by a couple episodes, it isn’t short on blood, action and lots of questions for the upcoming season! The teaser gives a glimpse of Alcide (Joe Manganeillo) ripping off his shirt, a tense moment between Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten) and some great scenes of Billith particularly the one where he’s covered in blood as he walks out of the burning Authority headquarters. How much of a threat is he going to be and who is that creepy person under the hat? A new villain perhaps?

Considering the way Season 5 was initially teased with obsure views of sets with voice overs taken from the season before that, this is an excellent way for new showrunner Brian Buckner to get Season 6 going. With Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) declaring, “If the humans want war, we’ll give them war” and an eerie voice over warning that “the tyrant is rising…it is the beginning of the end”, things are heating up over in Bon Temps.
