We’re now less one week away from the season premiere of the third season of HBO’s acclaimed fantasy series, ‘Game of Thrones’, so naturally, there’s a lot of promotional material floating around for the show. There are a number of posters, trailers, and recaps to keep the fans of the Seven Kingdoms satisfied in between watching episodes to catch up before the new episode airs. Now, you can add one more thing to the pile to check out before this Sunday because Comic Book Movie has a brand new featurette featuring the land beyond the wall and it’s inhabitants, the Wildlings.

When we last left ‘Game of Thrones’, Jon Snow was being led to the Mance Rayder, the King Beyond the Wall. In this upcoming season, the bastard son of Ned Stark will have to choose between keeping his oath to the Night’s Watch or finding a new life in the north with the Wildlings (and maybe Ygritte). Since these people are probably going to play a pretty important role in season three, you should get to know them, and that’s where this video comes in handy.

Series creator George R.R. Martin, actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, and a number of cast and crew members discuss various aspects of this uncharted and frozen land like the people, their leaders, and their look. Learn more about the Land Beyond the Wall in this video below:

While I loved hearing about the motivations behind Ciaran Hinds’ character of Mance Rayder and the rest of the Wildlings, I found the bit about the costumes and weapons to be the most interesting. Little details like a skirt instead of pants may go largely unnoticed to the average person, but I’m very appreciative of little things on a set like what weapons one carries because those are still important parts of the story.

What do you think Jon Snow will decide when he finally meets Mance Rayder? Is it likely that he’ll create a new home with the Wildlings? Do you think we’ll see him back in Winterfell ever again? Share your theories in the comments section.

‘Game of Thrones’ returns to HBO with season three this Sunday, March 31st at 9:00pm.
