Yesterday we shared the image of Jemima West as Isabelle Lightwood in the upcoming film ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’. Today we have the first look of Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace!
In the novel by Cassandra Clare which the film is based upon, Jace is described as having fine curly, golden blond hair with a slim, muscular build. He is known to be beautiful, sexy, gorgeous and “angular.” From the look of the image below, it seems that Bower fits the part!
‘City of Bones’, has been in development for quite a while with the first casting announcement for the movie occurring 2 years before the project went before the cameras. So far from the images, it looks like the casting department had their work cut out for them and managed to find actors who resemble the characters described in the book.
With many YA novels being adapted into features in hopes to be developed into a franchise (‘Beautiful Creatures’ is the next hopeful that will be released), it will be interesting to watch which one will be able to gain the following that no longer has new installments of ‘The Twilight Saga’ or ‘Harry Potter’ to see.
