After years of waiting, we finally know when Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish’s ‘Ant-Man’ will finally hit theaters. According to Total Film, the Avenger who will be sure to grow on you once you see him will make his way to theaters on November 6, 2015.
Hold on a bit. Does that still make ‘Ant-Man’ a part of Phase Two if it comes months after ‘The Avengers 2’, which is scheduled for May 1, 2015? Originally, the House of Ideas announced at SDCC that Hank Pym would be a part of the next phase of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, but have plans now changed? Maybe there are plans to introduce the character in Joss Whedon’s film and then spin him off into his own movie. After all, it’s been said that Whedon wants the Wasp, who is very closely tied to Ant-Man, in the follow up to ‘The Avengers’, so it that plan makes sense.
Previously, it was reported that Wright would work on his Marvel movie once he wraps on ‘The World’s End’ starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Once the third installment of his Blood & Ice Cream Trilogy is completed, he’ll set up shop in London to shoot ‘Ant-Man’ after Alan Taylor finishes ‘Thor: The Dark World’.
