The ‘Once Upon A Time’ panel at Comic-Con didn’t disappoint as they not only shared some tidbits as to what to expect when the show returns but also brought with them the new Season 2 opening title sequence and a promo trailer.
Co-creators and executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz ( both whom have been producers and writers for ‘Lost,’ ‘Tron: Uprising,’ ‘Birds of Prey’), along with Ginnifer Goodwin (Mary Margaret Blanchard /Snow White), Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan), Lana Parrilla (Regina Mills/Evil Queen Ravenna), Josh Dallas (David Nolan/Prince Charming), Emilie de Ravin (Belle), and Meghan Ory (Ruby/Red Riding Hood) were on hand to have a little fun and answer questions from Comic-Con attendees.
Before the panel started, the room was treated with a “commercial” written by Jane Espenson for the dating service “Singlebrooke” featuring the characters looking for that special someone that can bring magic back to their lives. After all, living in a small town like Storybrooke can make it very difficult for some to find their happily ever after.
Then the panel revealed a short video featuring title cards of those who will be returning in Season 2 as well as confirming three new characters that will be added: Princess Aurora/Sleeping Beauty played by Sarah Bolger, Mulan played by Jamie Chung and a picture of a beanstalk hinting that the show will somehow incorporate the tale of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.’
Other tidbits given to the crowd was that this season we’ll find out who Henry’s dad is, who Dr. Whale’s fairytale alter ego is and did Maleficent really die.
But the biggest revelation seemed to be that Captain Hook will be visiting Storybrooke! Featured in the promo for Season 2 of ‘Once Upon a Time,’ is a mysterious man breaking into Mr. Gold’s pawn shop who seems to be perturbed by the noisy ticking clock on the counter. Using it to break the glass, the camera pans to the man retrieving a hook and placing it on the end of his arm!
