Okay… so there’s a new clip from Sony Pictures’ upcoming ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ making the rounds today. It’s been described as a “spoiler” so be warned, if you don’t know anything about Spider-Man or if you haven’t been watching all of the footage so far… this might come as a surprise to you.

Otherwise, it’s not a big shocker at all. But, you’ve been warned either way. The trailer features Doctors Connors (Rhys Ifans) and Ratha (Irrfan Khan) speaking about a certain genetic serum and the reasons behind its creation.

You mean Norman Osborn, the CEO of Oscorp (where Curt Connors aka The Lizard works) is still the CEO in the cinematic universe too? I mean, it IS still Oscorp so it’s not a big spoiler that Norman’s in charge of things.

I guess it could be a little bit spoilery that Connor’s serum is being used to heal Osborn from some undescribed ailment and that this will surely lead to his becoming the Green Goblin somewhere down the line.

But in a movie universe that includes Gwen Stacy, did anyone really not expect the Green Goblin to show up sooner rather than later?

I just hope that Sony keeps Venom out of the equation this time around. I’d rather see Doc Ock again or some other villains that we haven’t seen like Chameleon, Vulture, Rhino, or Mysterio. What do you think? Comment below and let us know.
