You’ve been treated to the humor from the trailers, the inspiration for Barnabas taken from previous cinematic vampires, and clips of the dark undertones ‘Dark Shadows’ has to offer. Now in a new featurette, Warner Bros. is treating us with an in-depth look of the Collins family.
Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloe Moretz, Helena Bonham Carter, Jackie Earle Haley, and Bella Heathcote are on hand each talking about their particular character they play and their place in the Coliins’ family dynamics. To anchor it all is director Tim Burton who confesses that what drew him to the project was the “workings and the melodramas of a family.”
So what do you think so far? Is ‘Dark Shadows’ something you plan on seeing in the theaters or do you think Barnabas and the movie should have stayed buried a little while longer?
‘Dark Shadows’ Featurette – Strange Family:
‘Dark Shadows’ stars Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Chloe Moretz and Gulliver McGrath and will sink its teeth into theaters on May 11th.
Janice Kay
Janice's first memories of the genre were of watching the original 'Star Trek' and classic 'Doctor Who' episodes (Tom Baker, aka the Fourth Doctor, was her first). Soon, she was introduced to 'Godzilla' and her addiction then spread to books, magazines, movies and comics. Janice continued as a closet geek as her thirst and love for sci-fi grew and was only second to her love of baking. Then one night, on a whim, she answered a tweet to be a writer for ScienceFiction.com and the geek girl insider her was soon set free. Within 3 years she became the Senior Editor for the site. When not writing or editing for ScienceFiction.com, Janice is scouring the internet to feed her sci-fi cravings while defending conspiracy theories, protecting scientific theorems and loving all things science fiction.... and baking cookies.
