I have been anxiously waiting to hear something new come from ‘Dexter’ ever since the last moments of season six. It had me on the edge of my seat and I wanted more immediately! If you’re not entirely caught up yet, you need to make some time, get comfortable, and catch up before the new season starts up again. Don’t worry though. You have some time.

After you’re done marathoning ‘Dexter’, I have some news for you. In the first bit of casting news for the seventh season, TV Line is reporting that ‘Rome’ actor Ray Stevenson will join the cast of Showtime’s killer of serial killers show in a major recurring role. They say that he will play “a high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates.” Unfortunately, there are no other details yet, like whether or not Stevenson will be the main villain of the season, but as soon as we know, you will too.

In addition to ‘Rome’, Ray Stevenson is also known for his roles in ‘Punisher: War Zone’, ‘The Three Musketeers’, and ‘Thor’, as the mighty and robust Volstagg of the Warriors Three. Stevenson can also be seen as Firefly in the upcoming ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ later this summer.

The seventh season of the award-winning series ‘Dexter’ starring Michael C. Hall is set to premiere on Sunday, September 30th, 2012. That gives you plenty of time to catch up on the madness that was the Doomsday Killer before we find out who Dexter’s next victim is.
