I guess the new trend is now emerging where trailers now get their own trailers (or teasers as they are now called). While most of the time I’d rather wait until the full trailer is released, I do have to make an exception with this teaser for ‘Looper.’
The movie hasn’t had too much publicity but the concept sounds pretty amazing. ‘Looper’ stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Joe who is part of a group of hit men called “Loopers.” In the future, the mob uses a time machine to send their hits to the past where Loopers are there waiting to dispose of them. This process works just fine for the mob until Joe recognizes his next victim who just happens to be his future self, played by Bruce Willis. Now young Joe has to find a way to save himself and his future self.
Director Rian Johnson and Gordon-Levitt are in the teaser and give some insight about what the movie is about while glimpses of the movie are shown in between their cameos. The best part of it all is seeing how the make-up department was able to make Gordon-Levitt look like Willis using prosthetics.
