What would you feel compelled to do if a 70 mile wide asteroid was headed on a collision course with Earth? Well, if you were Steve Carell and Keira Knightley, you would go on a road trip to seek out your loved ones. That’s the premise of the new film ‘Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.’
In the movie, the world is given 3 weeks to live before an asteroid hits the Earth and decimates the planet. Dodge (Carell) decides to go look for his first love and Penny (Knightley) goes with him to reunite with her family. Along the way, they come across other people who seem to be handling the oncoming apocalypse in their own special way.
Besides the two leading stars, ‘Seeking a Friend for the End of the World’ flaunts a pretty impressive supporting cast that adds to this typical rom-com movie. The film was written and directed by ‘Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist’ scribe Lorene Scafaria. You can check out a preview of her work in the trailer below.
