Stuart Conover is a father, husband, blogger, published author, geek, entrepreneur, editor of Buy Zombie, horror fanatic, science fiction junkie, lives in a world of comics, and a casual gamer (all of this when his wife lets him of course.) He fell in love with science fiction and horror at the same time while watching the movie Alien at probably far too young of an age while still being extremely impressionable and has been happily obsessed with both since! Around the same time he had also developed an unhealthy addiction to comic books. While he was able to break free (at least from the comics) for 8 years he (like many addicts before him) has fallen back into the habit of reading them on a weekly basis. When not having too much on his plate for any healthy person he tries to skimp on sleep enough to get an eye straining amount of movies and television shows watched.
Favorites: Dune, Alien, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Star Wars, Warehouse 13, Eureka, Falling Skies, Game of Thrones, Dexter, Stargate, The Walking Dead, and everything mainstream Marvel.
Location: Westmont, IL

  • From Zombies to Exorcism, Robert Kirkman Is Getting Another Comic AND Show!

    Posted Wednesday, March 6th, 2013 02:57 pm GMT -4

With Robert Kirkman’s smashing success of ‘The Walking Dead’ on the small screen it’s not a surprise that we’d see another of his properties picked up. This time around it looks as if FOX International Channels has snagged the rights to an upcoming comic by Kirkman that focuses upon exorcism. This is actually quite breaking […]

  • Is ‘Dexter’ Preparing His Final Blood Slide?

    Posted Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 08:07 pm GMT -4

Dexter’s seventh season ended up having the highest ratings that the show has had to date. On top of that, with the many plot lines they are currently juggling, it almost seems that the prospect of the show coming to a close just wouldn’t be the case for Season 8. On the flipside, exactly how […]

  • ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′ Shows the True Danger of Taking a Cab in New York

    Posted Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 03:09 pm GMT -4

While we won’t be seeing the ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′ in theaters until May 2nd of 2014 in the US and April 18th for our UK readers we CAN start seeing a ton of the behind the scene photos coming up. First from Marc Webb’s Twitter as shown above we have a shot of what happens […]

  • PaleyFest 2013: The ‘Revolution’ Is Coming And It Won’t Keep Us Guessing!

    Posted Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 02:34 pm GMT -4

For me ‘Revolution’ is a guilty pleasure show. I want to hate it because they have the entire cast looking like they were freshly showered in a post-apocalyptic environment and there’s enough teen angst showing up to make anyone sick. However, I can’t help but watch every episode that comes out because the overall story […]

  • A ‘Sinister’ly Good Sequel Is On The Way!

    Posted Monday, March 4th, 2013 02:00 pm GMT -4

When a horror film earns $87 million at the box office with a $3 million budget it should be no surprise to anyone that a sequel is in the works. In the case of films like ‘Paranormal Activity’ you can expect the quality to start heading downhill pretty quickly. ‘Sinister.’ though. caught horror lovers attentions […]

  • Comic Book Review: ‘X-Treme X-Men’ #11

    Posted Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 08:00 pm GMT -4

To date the X-Treme X-Men series has been very similar to the Exiles series. It’s a group of mutants that have been traveling between alternate realities and timelines with a common goal. Currently we have both Dazzler and Sage from the 616 Universe, an alternate version of Wolverine (who goes by James Howlett) and Hercules […]

  • Comic Book Review: ‘FF’ #4

    Posted Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 07:15 pm GMT -4

The FF series was the Future Foundation portion of the Fantastic Four prior to the relaunching of the Marvel titles. When Reed, Sue, Johnny, and The Thing went off on their little space adventure, they didn’t want to take the children of the Future Foundation with them. Since their travel was supposed to be partially […]

  • Comic Book Review: ‘Avenging Spider-Man’ #4

    Posted Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 04:45 pm GMT -4

The Avenging Spider-Man is the new Marvel Mash-up franchise we all know and love. Who doesn’t enjoy seeing our favorite wise cracking web-slinger team up with people who either love, hate, or learn to respect him (or that he gets even more on their nerves)? It’s a fantastic concept but what happens in the world […]

  • Comic Book Review: ‘X-Men Legacy’ #6

    Posted Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 02:05 pm GMT -4

I won’t lie, I’ve been neglecting reviewing the re-launched X-Men Legacy series for the website. I was a huge fan of the plot line before it ended off but the focus on Legacy so far has been Legion. For those of you unfamiliar with the character, Legion is named David Charles Haller and is Charles […]

  • Comic Book Review: ‘Uncanny X-Men’ #2

    Posted Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 12:11 pm GMT -4

The Uncanny X-Men is meant to be one of the stand out titles currently in the X Universe. In it’s pages we get to see the fallout of AVX and the team Cyclops has put together to start a mutant revolution. Of course that would be much easier if any of his team actually still […]

  • Comic Book Review: ‘Uncanny X-Force’ #2

    Posted Saturday, March 2nd, 2013 05:00 pm GMT -4

With Wolverine disbanding his little black ops squad of X-Force, there was room for a new one to be formed. While Cable might have formed his own to work with, there was a group of X-Men who were in charge of taking care of problems for the mutants on the whole. Storm was leading them […]

  • Comic Book Review: ‘Astonishing X-Men’ #59

    Posted Saturday, March 2nd, 2013 04:00 pm GMT -4

Astonishing X-Men has recently been dealing with Warbird’s changing nature just prior to that the focus was on Northstar and Kyle’s marriage and what that meant for them. In Issue #59 we return to the marital issues that are plaguing the two but we also are introduced to a story arc that is going to […]

  • ‘Iron Man 3′ Pepper Potts Poster Has Been Released! (And More!)

    Posted Monday, February 25th, 2013 06:32 pm GMT -4

Well folks it’s another day closer to ‘Iron Man 3‘s’ release and the character posters keep coming! This time we have the Pepper Potts poster (say that 10 times fast) and it shows a very solemn looking Gwyneth Paltrow holding an extremely damaged Iron Man helmet. There have been multiple rumors of new Iron Man […]

  • New Movie Image Has Carrie All Bloody

    Posted Monday, February 25th, 2013 04:20 pm GMT -4

I’m not going to lie, when I heard they were remaking ‘Carrie‘ I’m sure I felt exactly how everyone else did – horrible. The thought of another horror movie remake is cringe worthy for most fans of the genre at this point. Hollywood just can’t seem to come up with much new that works and […]

  • Comic Book Review: ‘Morbius: The Living Vampire’ #2

    Posted Sunday, February 24th, 2013 09:45 pm GMT -4

Previously on the tales of Spider-Man, Morbius was imprisoned for losing control of his blood lust. When that happened he became at odds with everyone who he’d been able to build a relationship with over the years. Recently during Spidey’s battle with Doc Ock he was able to escape. Now he’s living on the streets […]
